It's Bike Month!

The month of May is full of bicycling events in the city of Davis ~ the home of the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame!
With our recent win from USA Today naming Davis the Top U.S. Cycling Town we have lots of exciting things happening in the month of May. Get your bike and enjoy the beautiful weather in Yolo County!
Here’s the list of events, with something for everyone:
May 3 ~ UC Davis Bicycle Auction: Pavilion Parking Structure; 8am viewing, 9am auction. 
May 3 ~ Cycle de Mayo: Family ride from Davis or Woodland high schools, meet in the middle at Plainfield Station for food, music and celebration. 
May 4 ~ Loopalooza: A day on the bike for the whole family; start near home and ride the Davis Bike Loop in either direction. 10am-2pm. 
May 8 ~ Capital Bike Fest: Leisurely group ride to Sacramento for the festival; bike or train ride back to Davis. Meet at U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame, 9am.
May 9 ~ Downtown Bike Art About: Ride your bike to the monthly downtown art walk, sponsored by Davis Downtown. 
May 15 ~ Bike to Work Day: Get a free breakfast from 7-9am. 
May 16 ~ Singletrack High (the movie): Showing at Brunelle Performance Hall at Davis High School, 6:30pm. 
May 17 ~ Davis Double Century: One of the oldest double centuries in California, covering 200 miles in one epic day! 
May 18 ~ Pints for Pedals: Fundraiser at Sudwerk Dock Store for Davis Bicycles! Time: 1-6pm. 
May 21 ~ Ride of Silence: A casual bike ride to honor and remember those we have lost; meet at Veterans Memorial Center, 7pm. 
May 24 ~ 5th Annual Tour de Cluck: A fun, chicken-centric bike tour of coops throughout Davis. Kickoff event in Central Park, 9am.
